Looking to get a new tv

I'm having 360 withdrawals and need to get back in the game. I have no place to put my SXRD at the momment and have been limping by playing my old xbox on a tiny little tube tv. I would like to get a LCD in the 32" range with 1080p and stay around $600.00. I'm kinda leaning towards a Sony Bravia KDL32EX400 or a Samsung LN32B530P7F. Anyone have either of these, or recommend any others?

I ordered one of these last night - a modest 37" Panasonic for $599 no tax or shipping. Should be in by Monday or so. I will post an update if you have not already pulled the trigger on another deal.
I am retiring an old 36' CRT after 12 years.

I'm a firm believer that there is no better bang for the buck than Samsung! Unless you really wanna drop some coin, I don't think you can go wrong with them. I hate Sony & Panasonic I have had problems with in the past. Also, out of all of the Home Theater installations I have done, Samsung always has some of the deapest brightest colors and darkest blacks. I also have two 50" Samsungs, so I practice what I preach! In the end it's up to you, but you have my two cents...

I'll second that, I love Samsungs as well but their 37" was just outside my budget. This is a guest bedroom tv and it will not see heavy use.

I use a 40" Samsung (LN-T4061F) for my gaming needs and I'm very happy with it.
One nice thing about this TV is that it rotates on it's base. Very handy is you need to access the connectors. It also has an optical output on the TV which is nice when your stereo only has 1 optical input. No more messing with the optical cable when switching from 360 to PS3.

I have the exact same model and size as Gandor and it's giving me a lot of image retention problems. Very odd for a LCD. If I watch ESPN after work, and then change the channel after awhile, I can see the ESPN borders. Same with going from a letterboxed movie to a full screen show, I can see where the black bars were.

Not sure what's going on but it is getting a bit distracting. Definitely a rare case...

Yeah, no kidding. Even plasmas are much better about image retention these days.

On some of the tech forums I have gotten replies about a possible broken grey scale renderer or some such crap, but I do believe that something in there must be broken. I may have gotten a lemon, I don't really blame Samsung. It started doing this after a year or more and I don't know what I can do about it.

I've noticed that the longer the TV is on, the worse the image retention gets.

Thanks for the input guys. I was kinda leaning towards the Samsung, they have good reviews...except for a few with black screens. The screen goin black issue seems to be acrossed the board on alot of brand names. Is this something that is inherent to LCD tvs?

MIX MASTER ICE is an unknown quantity at this point

A buddy of mine who is looking for a new TV liked my 47", so I told him a couple of weeks back I would keep on the lookout for a good deal. I found this earlier in the week for him and he ended up ordering it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-079-_-Product

LG 47" for 779 bones no tax/shipping is a pretty sweet deal.
