My Favorite Drummer

This guy is the fastest, most amazing drummer I have ever heard or seen. Just thought I share this with you because it is so awesome.

I go through phases of my favorites, depending on whatever 80's flashback I am suffering. Right now it's Stewart Copeland.

I hear a lot of hard bop jazz in Mr. Roddy's style. Reminded me of Philly Joe Jones, though highly evolved of course.

Haha. That happens to me too! My personal fav is Neil Peart. I like everything from hard rock to country. Right now I'm exploring Christian rock like Skillet, Red and Sanctus Real. When it comes to music there is no best or worst...it's all a matter of taste.

Derek Roddy is best known as a Death Metal drummer for his work in bands like Hate Eternal and Malevolent Creation. Here is a sample of his speed:

Thanks Larry! That link is broken but I found the interview. Here's the link:

That's a good interview. Found out some stuff I didn't know about Dereck Roddy like the fact that Death Metal was that last type of music he got into. very informative.

I think Slipknot's drummer is awesome too. There are so many greats out there that it is difficult to choose a favorite.
